After being inspired by watching Lee Liddle fly his P39 Aircobra
SSC warbird, I knew I had to have one. I began curiously bombarding
Lee with questions about how he did this, how he did that. I began
to think how easy it would be to build a Mustang using a lot of
the ideas Lee was using. The thing about Lee is, he will tell you
everything you ask for, and more! Talk about open source! So one
day I'm asking him about using bladders and he gives me an impromptu
lesson on how to make a bladder as well as enough material to fabricate
several bladders! That was it, I now had enough knowledge to try
my hand at creating the plane I wanted. Well, following Lee's example,
I decided the best way to help promote warbirds for SSC would be
to share what I did with other flyers. Hopefully, you'll see something
here that will inspire you to create your own warbird and you'll
come out and fly with us! |
