Take another piece of bidi, put it on the other side and wrap it around and onto the first piece. This goes on the end that will have the control horn.

Take a third piece of bidi and wrap it around the aileron This goes on the end that will have the control horn.

Next cover the aileron with colored packing tape. Sometimes it's easier to stretch the tape over the aileron if you stick the tape onto the workbench and then go over and onto the aileron

Next take a couple of pieces of tape to use as temporary hings.

Tape the aileron onto the wing with the two small piece of tape. Tape the aileron so that it droops at 35 degrees or so.

Take a piece of the Hobby Lobby tape that's a little longer then half the length of the aileron and center on the hing line. Take another piece of tape and do the other half of the aileron

Flip the wing over and do the same thing. Make sure that the tape follows down the TE and into the crack between the aileron and TE and onto the aileron. The tape from the top and the tape on the bottom must touch and stick together to make a good hing.

This simply shows putting the second half of the tape on. Doing it with two pieces makes it so much easier to put on then trying to handle a piece of tape the full length of the aileron

Apply a short piece of tape crosswise at both ends of the aileron on both the top and the bottom to strengthen the hing.

Ironing the hing line will make sure that the two pieces of tape, top and bottom are stuck together for good

Measure out the bladder cavity just rear of the spar line. The cavity should be between 5 and 6 inches long and between 1.75 and 2 inches wide

A handy tool for cutting out the cavity is a box knife. A good brand is the American Line by Personna. With 13 point break-away blades

Carefully slice all the way through the foam and slowly "saw" your way around the outline. Very important to use a fresh blade to do this

Then you end up with a nice clean cavity

Fuel proof the cavity with tape by laying a piece of 2" wide tape half way over the edge. Then cut the tape at both ends where the curve starts and fold the tape into the cavity. Do that on both sides of the cavity and then turn the wing over and do the over side. The tape should overlap in the cavity

Then put a short piece of tape in the ends

Slice it so that you can fold the tape down onto the outside of the wing. Do both ends AND both sides

Carefully iron the tape to make sure that it sticks well to the overlaps and the colored tape

Put several overlapping layers of wide tape on both the top and the bottom of the cavity. Melt a hole the size of a nickel on the top near the root and the cavity is done. Tape the winglets on to the wing tip and you have finished your wing!
